1. Tin Shed Cafe
The Tin Shed Cafe has a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere that channels downhome country vibes. At the same time, their food is modern, delicious, and well-prepared. They have a kid’s menu for lunch that includes grilled cheese, mac & cheese, and chicken tenders. These are all paired with either french fries or apple slices.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and is a great choice if you love pancakes. Their fruit topping options are all delicious, and the fruity pebble-style pancakes make for a fun family breakfast. Tin Shed Cafe is located at 101 Oak St W. They are closed on Tuesdays.
2. Barrel House
This family-friendly eatery is a great place to come for dinner together and enjoy the great food and relaxed atmosphere. They have a kid’s menu with each meal priced at $7. Their options include a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, or mac n cheese, and all the kid’s options include fries.
This is also a great place for the family to split a pizza. They have plain cheese if that’s what’s best for everyone, though the chicken alfredo pizza is really one to try. Barrel House has outdoor seating and curbside pickup if you’d rather eat together at home. They are located at 3270 WI-35 here in Frederic.
3. Sundown Campground
You don’t have to be camping to come and enjoy the restaurant at this campground. They are located at 3508 WI-35, five miles from downtown Frederic. It’s an easy drive to enjoy in your new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD LTZ with its great navigation system.
This is a relaxed place to come with your family and share a pizza. The kids will also like the chicken nuggets and chicken strips. Adults will want to try the burgers. Sundown has a laid-back atmosphere that makes for a quiet evening out.
4. Skol Haus
This restaurant has chicken dinners and steak dinners, but folks come here for the seafood. The Friday Night Fish Fry is only $14.25 and gets you all-you-can-eat cod, either deep-fried or broiled. Their long menu of seafood dinners is the best around.
They have a kid’s menu, so there’s plenty for children to get excited about, too. They have mini corn dogs, chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, or grilled cheese sandwiches. The restaurant is located at 3415 County Road W. They are open from Thursday through Sunday from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
