Spanning 2,000 acres, this park is full of charming vistas and glacial features, including a section of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which traces the edge of the glacier that once occupied much of North America. Camp, hunt, fish, and breathe in the natural history of the area.

2. Interstate Park

Established in 1900, Interstate Park is Wisconsin’s oldest state park and it is another fascinating glimpse at the way glacial activity sculpted the land. Come to explore nature on the trails and stay to peruse the Ice Age Interpretive Center to delve deeper into the wonders of Earth.

3. Willow River State Park

The biggest draw of Willow River State Park is the view of Willow Falls and the Willow River Gorge, a waterfall cascading down a 200-foot gorge. Kinnickinnic State Park is where the St. Croix and Kinnickinnic rivers meet at a large, sandy delta in a lush, green valley.
