The 2024 Chevy Camaro has a lot to live up to as it comes from a long line of extremely popular older siblings. The classic Camaro look we all know and love has been dominating the streets for many years now, and the muscle car continues to be one of the most recognizable designs on the road, not to mention a consistent Chevy dealership bestseller. We’re happy to report that the coming year’s Camaro exceeds drivers’ expectations for it.

Mechanics and Specs

The 2024 Camaro’s robust 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine grants an impressive 335 horsepower at 6,800 RPM and an ample 284 lb-ft of torque at 5,300 RPM. The direct injection engine features variable valve timing and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. This transmission possesses a hill-hold feature as well as Active Rev Matching technology. The coming year’s Camaro gets up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway.

Interior

The driver’s seat and passenger’s seat are eight-way and six-way adjustable, respectively, and the cabin features automatic climate control. Drivers favor the Camaro’s six-speaker premium audio system because the speakers are meticulously positioned throughout the Camaro’s cabin for a sound that fills the space optimally and offers stellar audio quality.

Whether you have an Apple or an Android smartphone, both are compatible with the Camaro’s wireless connectivity capabilities. You can use this connectivity to play your phone’s audio through the high-quality sound system. When your phone is connected, your playlist, phone calls, and text messages will be displayed on the seven-inch diagonal color touchscreen located on the Camaro’s center stack. This is also where you can control your cabin’s media settings and access your Camaro’s various applications.

Safety

The 2024 Camaro has airbags in front of the driver and front passenger, knee airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and front and rear curtain airbags. The front and knee passenger-side airbags have a Passenger Sensing System to determine whether or not to deploy in the event of a crash.

The 2024 Camaro’s base model 1LT comes with a Rear Vision Camera as a standard safety feature. This camera is automatically displayed on your seven-inch center stack touch screen when you put your car in reverse. The camera is capable of displaying a guide of where your vehicle will end up before you make the maneuvers, and you’ll get a visual and audible alert if you come close to another object while reversing.

Chevrolet puts their finest work into each vehicle they build, but this is especially true for the Camaro lineup. For years, drivers have felt that the Camaro represents all there is to love about Chevrolet’s manufacturing, and we can all come together to appreciate the fact that this rings true for yet another year. If you’re interested in seeing the new and improved 2024 Camaro, why not schedule a test drive with us at Larsen Auto Center right now?
