Two butterflies enjoying the newly-bloomed Spring flowers

In spring, you can find plenty of fun activities in and around Frederic, WI. Some are food-related, but others are suitable for sports fans or those who would like to help the environment. Today, we’ll have a look at three great spring activities: the BACC Icebreaker Triathlon, the Braham Pick-M Farmer’s Market, and the Pollinator Planting Party in Stillwater.

1. BACC Icebreaker Triathlon

If you’re an active person, the BACC Icebreaker Triathlon in Barron is a great springtime event in the local area. This year, it will take place on Saturday, April 29th, so there’s not much time left to sign up. The triathlon starts with a 300-meter swim in the heated indoor pool. Then, contestants take part in a 10-mile bike ride. Finally, they do a two-mile run.

You can do the BACC Icebreaker Triathlon on your own or with a group. If you’re not ready to compete this year, why not attend the event as a spectator? That way, you can find out what’s involved and prepare for next year’s triathlon.

2. Braham Pick-M Farmer’s Market

On May 4th, the Braham Pick-M Farmer’s Market is finally back. Take your Chevy and drive to Braham, MN to experience the first market day of the year. The vendors will be selling produce from 3 pm to 7 pm. In the spring, you can expect fresh vegetables like asparagus and parsnips and herbs like mint. The market is easy to find because it’s located in Freedom Park along Highway 107.

3. Pollinator Planting Party in Stillwater

If you love helping the environment and you’re happy to take a slightly longer drive in your eco-friendly Chevrolet Equinox, the Pollinator Planting Party in Stillwater, MN could be a great fit for you. This event takes place on Wednesday, May 31st from 6 pm to 8 pm. It might take you around one hour to get there, but the drive is worth it because Pine Point Park is beautiful in the spring.

During the session, you and the other volunteers will plant over 1,000 native plant plugs that will attract local wildlife throughout the summer and fall. You will also learn more about pollinators, why they’re so important, and what is causing their decline. If you feel hungry after the event, you can drive to central Stillwater and enjoy one of the many restaurants there.

In the spring, many people love spending time outdoors. If you need a car to get around in the great outdoors, reach out to us at Larsen Auto Center. We can’t wait to show you our new and used Chevy vehicles.
