Big, brawny, and endlessly versatile, the Chevy Silverado 1500 has been a firm favorite since the 2019 release of the fourth generation. And with an improved diesel engine causing even more torque in 2023, it’s continuing to impress with strength, safety, and style.

Chevrolet’s Silverado 1500 is a full-size light-duty pickup with a tough and assertive air. It’s equally capable of performing as a tough work truck, a luxury ride, or an exciting off-road experience. And the range of options available make it easy to fine-tune your Silverado to your specific needs.

Trims and Configurations

Silverado owners have the option of the following trims:

  • The Work Truck (WT)
  • Custom
  • Custom Trail Boss
  • LT
  • RST
  • LT Trail Boss
  • LTZ
  • High Country

For serious off-roaders, the ZR2 was also released in 2022. With upgraded steel bumpers, skid plates, and Multimatic DSSV dampers, it’s configured for optimal performance off the beaten track.

Tech Support

As well as being big and powerful, the Silverado also offers drivers an intuitive and intelligent ride. Chevy Safety Assist comes as standard on all models, to support you behind the wheel.

The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 13.4-inch touchscreen are standard in models from the LT trim up, and provide seamless connectivity with smartphones through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s a mobile hotspot as standard on all models, and the Amazon Alexa interface is also available.

Effortless Style

2022 saw a redesign of the Silverado’s exterior, with a reshaped front fascia and lower headlights to give it that extra-intimidating glower. And the Cherry Red Tintcoat and Silver Ice Metallic exterior color options have been replaced by three more. Radiant Red Tintcoat, Sterling Grey Metallic, and Harvest Bronze Metallic are the latest shades for 2023.

Powertrain Options

One key reason for the Silverado’s enduring appeal is the size and power of its engines. The base powertrain, a 2.7l turbo inline-four, delivers 210hp and 430lb-ft of torque and comes as standard on all trims up to the LT, along with the LT Trail Boss and RST double cab.

There are also two Ecotec3 V8 engines available, a 5.3l and a 6.2l option. The smaller engine gives 355hp and 383lb-ft of torque, while the bigger V8 delivers top-level towing power with 460lb-ft of torque enabling it to haul up to 12,500lbs.

New in 2023

The most significant change to the 2023 Silverado 1500 is the revamped diesel engine option. With new fuel injectors, pistons, and turbo, this 3.0l six-cylinder powertrain now delivers 305hp and a whopping 495lb-ft of torque.

But no matter how great it sounds in print, the best way to experience the 2023 Silverado 1500 is to see and try it out for yourself. Contact us at Larsen Auto Center for more information, or to arrange test drive.
